RF Engineer

Embedded Engineering is looking for an RF engineer to expand our team in Rijswijk (on the northern edge of Delft).

About the job


We are looking for an enthusiastic and capable RF engineer who can take responsibility for the design, development and validation of RF systems and subsystems. You will be involved in product development and R&D projects, working on advanced military communication and sensing solutions.

The team you will be working in consists of 5–10 embedded software, FPGA and hardware engineers. You will collaborate across multiple disciplines, including digital design, embedded software and system engineering.

Our remuneration package includes (among other benefits) 31 days of paid vacation per year, profit sharing, a pension plan, a company phone or phone allowance and company lunches. Your starting salary will depend on your experience and qualifications; the indicative salary range is € 4500 to € 8000 gross/month, not including vacation pay, bonuses and profit sharing. You will receive an annual pay rise depending on performance relative to your targets, that are agreed upon annually.


The working language at Embedded Engineering is English.

Responsibilities


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and developing RF systems and subsystems for military communication and sensing applications.
  • Developing RF waveforms and signal chains, including modulation, filtering and amplification.
  • Contributing to analog RF electronics (e.g. LNAs, mixers, oscillators, power amplifiers).
  • Performing RF simulations
  • Developing and executing test and validation plans.
  • Writing technical documentation.
  • Leading design tasks carried out by multidisciplinary teams.


Skills


The following skills are required for this position:

  • Ability to provide guidance to teams of software and hardware engineers and leading technical design tasks.
  • Strong understanding of RF system design and signal chains.
  • Experience with RF waveform development.
  • Experience with analog RF electronics design.
  • Familiarity with RF measurement equipment.


Qualifications and education


The following education requirements apply for this position:

  • Required: Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering
  • OR: relevant work experience or education equivalent to the above.


A certificate of conduct (VOG) is required for everybody working at Embedded Engineering. A security screening procedure may be part of the selection process, or may be required at any point during your employment.


Experience


We require a minimum of 5 years of experience with RF design.
